How to Select a Company in Tally.ERP9 Tutorial

When double-clicking on the Tally.ERP9 icon, the screen is displayed as shown below:

Press Enter on Select Company or Press the F1 button: Select Cmp. After Enter on Select Company Tally.ERP9 screen displays below:

How to Create a Company in Tally.ERP9 Tutorial

First Go to Gateway of Tally (GOT) > Company Info. (Alt+F3)  > Create Company

After that the Company Creation Screen appears as shown below:

A Detailed Explanation on Each field is Given Below:

1.Directory: The Data Path Where you Want to Created the Company.

2.Name: Enter the Company Name.

3.Mailing Name and Address:  In this field displays the Company Name by default but you can change it as required, if the Mailing Name is different from the Company Name.

Note: It is very important field in Tally.ERP9 because in all Reports, Tally.ERP9 Print the Mailing Name and Address.

4. Statutory compliance for: Select the Country Name from the List of Countries.

5. State: Select the State Name from the List of States.

6. PIN Code: Enter the PIN Code (Postal Index Number) of the Specified Address.

7. Telephone: Enter the Telephone Number of the Company.

8. Mobile No: Enter the Mobile Number of the Company.

9. E-mail Address: Enter the E-mail address of the Company  that will be used to e-mail Documents, Reports and Data from Tally.ERP9.

10. Enable Auto Backup: If you want to Automatic Backup of  Tally.ERP9 Data of your Company then Set this to “Yes” otherwise Set this to “No”

11. Currency  Symbol: Currency Symbol will Automatically appear with respect to the Country selected.

12. Maintain: In this field Tally.ERP9 Show Type of Company with two options Accounts only and Accounts with Inventory.

Note:

a) If you Select Accounts only then you do not have any Inventory Transactions.

b) If you Select Accounts-with-Inventory, then you maintain both financial accounts and inventory.

13. Financial Year From: Enter the Financial Year of Your Company.

14. Books Beginning From: Enter the  Books Beginning Year of Your Company.

Company Info.(Information) Menu in Tally.ERP9

Before selection of any Company In Tally.ERP9 Company Info.(Information) Menu appears as shown:

Before selection of any Company the Menu options in the Company Info. are as follows:

1. Select Company

2. Login as Remote User

3. Create Company

4. Backup

5. Restore

6. Quit

But after selection of any Company In Tally.ERP9 Company Info.(Information) menu appears as shown:

1.Select Company: Ask to you Select or Load a Company.

2.Connect Company: Ask to you Connect Company on Tally.NET

3.Disconnect Company: Ask to you Disconnect Company from Tally.NET

4.Shut Company: Ask to you Shut a Company.

5.Create Company: Ask to you Create a Company.

6.Alter: Ask to you Alter a Company.

7.Security Control: Ask to you Create Security Levels and Users & Passwords.

8.Change TallyVault: Ask to you Secure the Data by Providing a TallyVault Password.

9.Split Company Data: Ask to you Split Company Data Across Multiple Period

10.Backup: Ask to you  Take a Backup of the Company Data.

11.Restore: Ask to you Restore a Data Backup.
